Post Malone is having one hell of a fall. After his recent release "rockstar" debuted at #2 on the Hot 100, shattering Apple Music's single-week streaming record in the process, the Texas artist now has another Billboard charting song on his hands with "I Fall Apart."
In a story first reported by Genius last week, "I Fall Apart," a cut off his 2016 debut project Stoney, gained a large uptick in popularity thanks likely to the virality of a performance video posted on Facebook and Twitter. The Facebook video has gained over 7m views and over 200k shares while the Twitter post has gained nearly 130k retweets and over 225k likes.
The combined result of these viral posts has driven "I Fall Apart" to #24 on iTunes' Top Songs chart, #41 on Spotify's Global Top 50 chart and, ultimately, #65 on today's Hot 100 chart.
This viral moment caps off a huge month for Post who saw his socials jump across the board with a 21% gain (+157k) in Facebook Likes, a 27% gain (+311k) in Twitter Followers, a 17% gain (+211k) in Spotify Followers and a 14% gain (+431k) in Instagram Followers.
