New Funding Partnership — CRIM x Roundabout Marketing

A few weeks ago, UK-based CRIM’s manager at Exhale Talent posted a TikTok video (view here) of CRIM in the studio recording his now-released single, “KILLING ME”. Before the song was released and while the TikTok video kept growing (it currently sits with 9.8M Total Views and has nearly 900K Likes and 11K Comments), CRIM and his team at Exhale built out a fan-engagement campaign, growing his discord channel and running a strong pre-save campaign, earning upwards of 5K pre-saves. As CRIM and his management were preparing the release of the single, they entered into a funding/marketing partnership with Charley Greenberg of 740 Project & Roundabout Marketing — the latter being a new marketing-focused fund that leverages innovative digital strategies, campaigns and partnerships to launch singles in a TikTok-driven world. Having come out last Friday, CRIM’s “KILLING ME” sits with just short of 100K Spotify Streams at present date completely organically. Congrats to CRIM, Exhale Talent and Roundabout Marketing on closing an incredibly exciting partnership!

Artist to Know: Kevitch

Releases Included: Upcoming Five (5) Singles
Amount Raising: $30,000
Post-Recoupment Split: 30% to partner (100% to partner until investment is returned)
Term Length: 5 years

In the top of 2020, Kevitch released her debut single, “Sunrise”, that found its way onto Spotify playlists like Chill Vibes (maintaining a very high spot at #4), and even caught onto a niche on TikTok, where “Sunrise” sits with over 5.5K UGCs completely organically (even though Kevitch doesn’t even have a TikTok account of her own). Coming off of this incredible momentum, Kevitch has partnered with her management, Jamz Guerra at Blood Company (the company manages artists including Kenny Beats, 100 Gecs, Take a Daytrip, Jack Ü, Ghostmane and many others). Since, Kevitch and her management team have been preparing the release of her follow-up singles to “Sunrise”, the first of the five singles called “idc.”, coming out on Thursday. With over 144K Instagram Followers, a great team and a whole bunch of momentum going into these upcoming single releases, providing some strategic value to Kevitch and her team as they lean into these new releases has an immense amount of upside.

Investor to Know: D36

D36 is a genre-agnostic record label and community platform based in Los Angeles, California. The team has over 30 years of experience across management, A&R, creative direction, and distribution — having worked artists ranging from Noname to Jelani Aryeh to Young Thug. The team and artist roster are entirely South Asian, but the stories they amplify are universal. D36 provides comprehensive artist development and creative services, and has a truly global on-the-ground distribution infrastructure through partnerships with The Orchard and Sony Music India. They are also launching a series of creative live activations around Los Angeles to provide artists physical spaces to tell their stories to the world. As an indify partner, D36 is excited to invest in artists with global ambitions that challenge the preconceptions of the art that is allowed to come out of the community. While they haven’t closed an investment on indify quite yet, they’re excited to begin providing strategic value to the incredible talent on indify.
